\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tOn 24 October, coinciding with the REMEMCHILD congress held on 23 and 24 October, a guided visit was made to the memorial of the former women’s prison of Las Corts. Este memorial, inaugurado en 2019, recupera la memoria de esta c\u00e1rcel que entre 1936 y 1953 fue uno de los espacios de represi\u00f3n de la Guerra Civil y la dictadura franquista, y donde decenas de mujeres -muchas con sus hijos- fueron encarceladas.\n\nThe visit was led by Dr. Nuria Ricart, who together with Fernando Hern\u00e1ndez Holgado, historian and coordinator of the project \u2018Memoria Prisi\u00f3n de les Corts\u2019, was responsible for the installation of the memorial, promoted by various memory associations in the neighbourhood. <\/strong> The visit was free and open to the public at the congress. During this visit, the memorial, the struggle for the recovery of the space, the urban delimitation and the history of the imprisoned women were explained. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
