With the creation of this prize, the Maison d\u2019Izieu hopes to contribute to the reflection and understanding of the present by the younger generations in the light of the past.<\/p>\n<p>The Maison d\u2019Izieu Prize responds to one of the memorial&#8217;s missions: &#8220;to contribute to the reflection and education of all audiences on crimes against humanity and the circumstances that gave rise to them: totalitarian ideologies, religious extremism, violations of fundamental rights, racial essentialisation, deportations and mass murder&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The theme of the 2023-2024 edition is &#8220;Lettres et dessins d&#8217;enfants r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s dans les conflits, d\u2019hier et d&#8217;aujourd&#8217;hui&#8221;, giving pupils the opportunity to reflect on the consequences of conflicts of which children were victims in the past and continue to be victims today.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-be9fb81
