Peace Makers

If we were asked, would you be able to name 10 people who dedicated and /or spend part of their life to the culture of peace, respect for human rights and the protection and care of our planet? What would be our response? For sure, it will be difficult for us, but not as difficult as to mention names of people linked to the culture of violence. Have you ever thought about it, why?

Being aware of this lack of knowledge of our society on this field, the Gernika Peace Museum decided to create a board game as well as an exhibition.

The 32 peace makers of this boardgame are just a small sample of the millions of peace makers in our planet that make a vital commitment to build a better and peaceful world, more respectful to human rights.

The game “Peace Makers” consists of discovering 32 people who are role models in regard to peace, individual and human rights, and civil and environmental laws by using some strategies. Throughout the game the players will find out information about each person until they, the players, are able to discover them. The players will have to go against the clock and add up points at the same time.
